BULL WERE SHARKS BACK!

To all my friends and Diver family,

I write to you with a tremendous pain in my heart.

This Bull Shark season has turned into another massacre of sharks.

I now realize how inefficient we as a community have been to protect this animals so far and face the concecuences caused by our actions of diving with the Bull Sharks at Playa del Carmen.

Sharks are Apex predators capable of detecting a drop of blood in an immense amount of water, for what we have not being able to protect them in the distance needed for them not to be hunted.

Last season we made the news and thought we had impacted the people responsible for their destruction, but this season, seeing how the same people killed again the migratory sharks we see, just shows me WE ARE NOT READY to be privilege with such a dive.

Mexico sadly is still a place for corruption and the ones involved in the Bull Shark killings are VERY aware of this.

We Scorpio Divers, will stop this dive until we can guarantee a safe environment for this magnificent animals. We will continue our crusade for their protection not only in Playa but in all the state of Quintana Roo, with means of changing things, with or without the government support. We are tired of waiting.

Our idea in stopping this dive is the hope that the rest will follow and the sharks won't have a reason to stick to that site, going hunting for food somewhere else, as they now think we all bring food, sticking around and being easy prey for fishermen.

The idea is to protect them NOW by making it difficult for these fishermen to locate, and until we can offer safety for them, stop putting them in danger.

I am not pointing fingers at anyone as we live in a free country, I'm just putting my little grain of salt to stop it making it easy to find and kill them.

I apologize for those who were eager to experience this amazing dive, but as divers and human beings, we must preserve the world we live in, and if this makes a change, so be it.

Scorpio Divers Private Tours

Cancellation Policies:

Dive trips are subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled with or without notice at discretion of Scorpio Divers S.A. de C.V. with consideration of the safety of the divers, crew and vessel.

Once the Diver is picked up with Scorpio Divers, he is subject to a 25% charge if any cancelation happens during the tour hired.

Cancelation on an arranged scuba tour with Scorpio Divers S.A. de C.V. on behalf of the client is subject to a 25%fee on the total balance of the agreed price.

If a package is arranged for hire with Scorpio Divers S.A. de C.V. and it is cancelled at any point with out finishing the package dives, the dives will be charged at full price instead of package discounted rates.

If weather does not permit diving in a location, Scorpio Divers S.A. de C.V. may change the location for the dive at the divers discretion. If there is a price change on this location, the price of the now 'new' dive should be covered by the divers hiring the services.

By hiring services with Scorpio Divers S.A. de C.V. you are agreeing to this terms.

Scorpio Divers and its Staff can refuse to give service to anyone at any point with no reimbursement.
