Scuba Diving Puerto Morelos is a great dive site to admire the 136 feet long wreck "Juan Escutia" intentionally sunk on the year 2000. On its deepest point it has 90 feet deep, and the tower sits at 60 feet making it an awesome multi level dive.

On the second tank, we dive reefs that have been kept healthy and in almost virgin conditions as the town of Puerto Morelos is still an amazing small town.

Just 500m from the beach of Playa del Carmen, bull sharks roam in the depths of the cooler waters from late November through early April. Sightings of bull sharks are a common occurrence and their size range from 5 ft juvenile sharks to large 8 ft females.

The dives are conducted on a sandy bottom anywhere from 70 – 100 fsw; water temperature averages 77-79F, wetsuits are needed. Underwater visibility exceeds 60ft, making photo and video opportunities ideal.

The whale shark is the biggest fish in our oceans and in the summer months (from May to September) they arrive in the hundreds to feed on the blooming plankton just one hour north of Cancun.

2009 season produced an incredible experience for everyone who dove, with massive numbers of these 35ft giants. Daily sightings of over a hundred whale sharks feeding just 16 miles north east of Isla Mujeres were reported. Snorkeling with these beautiful creatures is a lifetime memory and should not be missed!
